404 Page/404 Error: A 404 error page is a page that occurs when a link or a site is not available or can't be found.

AVS: AVS stands for Adult Verification System. This is a system/program that requires membership via credit card and such which verifies that the surfer is a legal adult.

Banner Farm: Is a page filled with a large amount of advertising banners.

Blind Link: A blind link is a link that goes somewhere that doesn't clearly indicate where this link goes to, or that doesn't actually describe the place the link is going to.

Circle Jerk: This is a site or pages designed to trap a surfer in a sea of endless pop-ups, ads, etc. It's an attempt to make the surfer buy something. These can sometimes freeze up a computer or just to find a way out of all the pop ups, force a surfer to shut down or restart their computers.

Console Or Pop-Up: A console/pop-up is a tool used by a webmaster that opens a new browser window at any time the webmaster selects. Consoles/pop-ups are triggered by javascripts which have been included into the head tags of website pages by the webmaster.

Hot Linking: It's when someone links directly to your images or content . Banners and such should be right clicked on and saved, then put on your own server!

Meta Tags: Are the tags included into the head () tag of your pages that contain the keywords/phrases that a person would use to find your page. Meta tags are used by search engines to find your site or specific pages.

Money Bar: This is an advertising table usually put at the top or bottom (or both) of pages. Free hosting ads that are at the top and/or bottom of website pages would be considered money bars.

Pop-Up: See 'Console' above.

Recip: A recip is a mutual link between sites. It's when you provide a site with a link to them on your site and they provide a link back to your site from theirs.

Sponsor: Is a program/paysite offered where you can promote/advertise. For each sale made you get a portion of the sale. Examples are CECash, Top Bucks and the likes.

Template Site: These are sites made from a pre-made template type of site design. You can pretty much just insert new pics and banners.

TGP: A tgp is short for thumbnail gallery post. It's a site which lists submitted thumbnailed gallerys, usually on a daily bases. I DO NOT ACCEPT TGP'S.

Thumbnail: Is the smaller version (mini size) of a full size picture. Thumbnail pics are usually under 5 k's in size.
